Ceiling Fans: Questions We Get Asked

Where can I see the ceiling fans in person?

Our ceiling fans are on display at A&S Lighting & Curtain Gallery, our sister company inside both of our showrooms: Enterprise One at 1 Kaki Bukit Road 1, and Tradehub 21 at 24 Boon Lay Way. We carry KDK, Crestar, Bestar, Alaska, Efenz, Spin, Samaire, Decor Fan and Point One, with far more models in store than online.

Can I use Climate Vouchers on a ceiling fan?

Yes, on eligible DC fans. Under the Climate Friendly Households Programme, fans with a DC motor qualify, except models fitted with non-LED lights. Both showrooms accept Climate Vouchers, and our team can show you which models qualify.

Should I choose a DC or AC ceiling fan?

For most homes, a DC fan is the easier choice. DC fans are generally quieter, use less electricity than older AC fans, and usually come with a remote and more speed settings. AC fans are simpler and cheaper to buy.

What ceiling fan should I get for a low ceiling?

Look at low-profile fans that sit close to the ceiling, or a model with a shorter down rod. Bring your floor to ceiling height to our showroom and we will suggest fans that suit.

Can a ceiling fan be hung from a false ceiling?

A false ceiling board alone should not carry a fan. The mounting should be fixed to the concrete slab above or the ceiling properly reinforced, so plan fan positions before the false ceiling goes up.

Which blade size should I choose?

Bigger rooms need a bigger blade span to move air to the corners, and long open layouts often cool better with two smaller fans. Bring your floor plan and ceiling height to our showroom and we will suggest a size for each room.
